Too much info.
Poorly organized

Think about what info. are necessary to readers
Let them get your ideas in 10s
Map is Boring
Why?
use program's default setting
normal font, color, line and etc
Solutions
Use colors (text, lines, shapes)
this can add visual interest
Add appropriate icons/symbols and images
this can add meaning and context to your maps
do not go overboard
Draw attention to the part you really want target audience to notice
Reader may think content isn't relevant to them
Why?
People're busy, so once having this feeling, they'll dismiss this map
Or you may distribute to the wrong guys
Solutions
find the right people
draw them attention to right part
text color, size, other format, add boundary
Readers are "map shock"
Why/What?
readers are linear thinkers before
the folks who like their words in neatly formatted paragraphs and their numbers in flawless rows and columns
don't explain what's the map, and why this way
Solutions
Ease these Luddites into the world of mind mapping
Steps
offer the text-based report
there are some maps as the supporting elements
get them used to see mind map, and then love it in future
Evangelizing too much
What?
Mind mappers tend to be a passionate bunch
mind map EVERYTHING,including grocery lists
Solutions
Be openly pragmatic in using mind map
Let co-workers know it's one of many tools in executive toolbox
Of course, it's not a panacea for everything
Self-referential is a nice technique. Layout is simple and direct. Ornaments and furniture are simple and effective. Nice job.
