Introduction

This tutorial describes all aspects of the XMind Pro 3 software subscription model. To obtain an XMind Pro 3 subscription, you must be a registered user of XMind.net. If not, you can free to Sign Up Now.

Use XMind Pro

XMind Pro 3 has the same installation package with XMind 3. After downloading and installing it on your computer, please launch your XMind and sign in with the activated account. Then all XMind Pro features will be available.

When you want to know if there is a new update, please click "Help > Check for updates" on menu.

Obtaining a Subscription

To access the advanced features of XMind Pro 3, you must purchase a monthly or an annual subscription, which provides you with all updates and upgrades to the software as well as technical support for the term of the subscription. Below is a step-by-step description on how to obtain an XMind Pro 3 subscription.

  1. Register for an XMind account free at http://www.xmind.net/signup/.
  2. Download XMind Pro.
  3. To purchase and activate your XMind Pro 3 Subscription, please sign in to your account with your XMind ID, and:
    • Go to purchase page and buy an XMind Pro 3 subscription.
    • When your purchase transaction is complete, you will receive an email including the subscription code and the instruction about how to activate the code from within XMind Pro 3

If you wish to purchase your XMind Pro subscription code using Paypal, please follow these steps:

  • Click the Buy Button, and enter the payment page of Paypal.
  • Enter your information, and pay the moeny.
  • Wait until you see the "Thank you" Page.
  • You will receive an email from XMind system with your subscription code(s).
  • If you do not receive an email from XMind with your subscription code(s), please contact XMind and supply your payment confirmation email received from Paypal.

Installing the License

After you purchased XMind Pro subscription, you will receive an email including your subscription code and the instruction of XMind Pro.

Follow the steps below to activate your XMind Pro subscription and suppress any expiration warning dialogs:

  1. Visit http://www.xmind.net/, and sign in with your XMind ID. If you do not have an XMind ID, please Sign Up to get a free XMind ID.
  2. Click "Renew" or "Subscribe" in your account page.

  3. Paste the Subscription Code into the Subscription Code field.

  4. Click "Activate" button.
  5. Launch XMind Pro, and Sign in with this activated account.

Viewing Subscription Details

You can see your Subscription details in your XMind.net account.

Using XMind Pro with your XMind ID

After purchasing an XMind subscription, please use it to activate your XMind Account on XMind.net. After activation, you will be able to sign into XMind Pro using your account.

FAQ

Q: Do you provide enterprise/group subscription?

We provide discounted group subscription packages for various sized groups. Please see the latest pricing for more information on specific pricing. For example, if you buy a 5-Year subscription group package, you receive 5 subscription codes. You can distribute the codes to 5 team members, so that each person's XMind ID can activate a 1-year XMind Pro 3 subscription. We do not offer packages or discounts for monthly subscriptions.

For enterprises, we also provide an unlimited user enterprise subscription. One subscription code can be used to activate an unlimited number of XMind IDs that are associated with your organization. Enterprise subscriptions are available for 1-year renewable terms.

Q: Do you provide subscriptions for unlimited license?

Yes, we provide subscriptions for unlimited users. For example, if you buy an unlimited-user subscription on Dec 5, 2008, you will receive 1 code which all of your employees can use to activate and use XMind Pro until Dec 5, 2009 (1 year after your payment date).

Q: What payment methods are available for purchasing an XMind Pro Subscription?

Yes, you can run multiple instances of XMind Pro on Windows, Linux, Mac and Eclipse, even remote usage. You may NOT share your XMind ID with anyone else. XMind reserves the right to terminate the XMind Pro subscription for that XMind ID if we discover more than one person using the same XMind ID without unlimited usage licensing.

Q: Do I need individual subscriptions for each platform each version?

No. Once your account has been activated by the subscription code, you can use this account to use XMind Pro anywhere.

Q: How do I renew my subscription?

You can purchase a new XMind Pro subscription code and enter it in your account on XMind.net. You can also renew your XMind Pro subscription from the My Account page within XMind if you are connected to the internet.

Q: How do I cancel my plan?

Sorry, once you subscribe to XMind Pro, we don't prove cancellation refunds.

Q: Does renewing change my expiration date?

When you renew your subscription, your subscription is extended from your previous ending date. (unless your subscription has already expired, in which case it's the date you renewed from.) So if you were to renew your subscription a month in advance of your expiration date, your subscription would end in 13 months (1 month early + 12 newly subscribed months).

Q: I lost my subscription code, now what?

Please send us an email including your name, purchase date and invoice number.

Q: Is my subscription code transferable?

Yes, you can transfer the subscription code as long as it has not been activated and attached to your specific XMind ID. Simply send the subscription code you purchased to your family, friends or others. They can use it with their XMind ID. Once a subscription code is activated from an XMind ID, it's not transferable.

Q: Is subscription renewed automatically?

No. XMind will not charge you or your card automatically when it comes time to renew XMind Pro. All we will do is to send you an email reminder, and you can choose to purchase a new subscription code to renew your account or not.

Q: What happens when my subscription expires?

You will receive email notices from XMind twice before the expiration date, notifying you of the pending expiration. After the expiration date, you will no longer be able to use the XMind Pro software or services linked with the subscription. Your private maps on xmind.net will no longer be viewable or downloadable, and will be deleted from the service one month after the expiration date has passed, if you choose not to renew your XMind Pro subscription before then.
