-
What? – Objectives
- Not exceeding the monthly budget
- Getting a true picture of expenses and income, realizing, where expenses can be curbed
- Fitting into income and saving money
- Controlling expenses
- Not going into the red and realizing, what balance I have
- Budgeting apps
- Balance check
- Want to be sure that I got my income and expenses balanced
- It’s important for me to understand what’s going on with my finances and it’s hard for me to do so without tracking
- Cash flow control
- I want to understand how much I can save each month
-
Why? Emotional goals
- Control
- Peace of mind
- Orderliness
- Helps not waste money on useless purchases and know which expense categories are the most costly
-
How? – Actions
-
What they do
- Bank and visa printouts
- I don’t track. I just only buy things I need
- I check banking app approximately once a week
- Раньше никак, сейчас стала записывать в эксель
- Used to not track in any way, currently entering everything into an Excel file
- Google tables, mobile apps
- Finance tracker apps
- I used to write down on checks and slips of paper, currently I’m running two apps, one of them is Money Pro
- I create a budget in google table and manage it every month
-
What they suggest
- Controlling expenses by visas
- It would be nice if banking apps regularly sent a reminder to check the account or a warning about the danger of exceeding the available finances
- A calculator is necessary
- Would be cool if you could request data from the bank
- I need an easy way to keep track. So that I can manually add costs for cash transactions
- Digital transactions like visa bank transactions could be reflected in the app
- I’d like to get an expense chart, so there’s a picture of where the most of the money goes
- Also maybe a comparison of income and expenses and, based on that, a forecast or tips on where to save
- It would be nice if there was a notification to enter income, for example at the end of the day
- Including manual cash adding option in the app that’s bound to the bank
- It would be nice if loans/debts could be included in the app as well
- It would be nice if the app notified me that a certain amount of constant monthly expense was about to get deducted, in order to have control
- It’s important that there’s a password or a code or a fingerprint
- It's important to have a design that doesn't distract
-
What prevents you from achieving your goal now?
- If I’m supposed to enter each transaction manually, I’m not going to use it.
- Writing down regularly and comparing with previous months
- I don’t always manage to include everything in the app
- It doesn't always work in advance
- It’s impossible to bind cards to cash
- Expenses exceed income
- When I check bank accounts, it isn’t always clear in terms of how much balance I actually have
- It takes a lot of time to enter everything into the app
- I get bored and lazy having to constantly enter expenses into the app
- Can’t trust them, because if you connect different bank accounts to the app, it still isn’t clear who the developer is. And it’s far from certain that the app’s got the banks I need
- I don’t always remember about entering expenses, don’t always include all the expenses that are there, for instance, I can forget about the ones that I cover with cash withdrawal. Plus, I don’t sort by categories and I can’t clearly determine the area of the most significant expenditure
- Apps are confusing and feature packed and I can’t be bothered figuring them out
