Merry Christmas and Happy new year! Today, XMind 2012 SE (v3.3.1) is ready for you, which brings a few new features, and many bugs-fix, improvements.
New things in XMind 2012 SE
- Korean Language pacakge. Now, XMind has English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, Danish, and Slovenian version.
- Auto-update support on Windows and Max OS X.
- View/clear activation information in the license dialog.
Bugs fix and Improvement
- Upgrade to Eclipse 3.8.1
- Increase the file saving speed tremendously
- Re-designed “New…” Tab
- Drag the file/folder into XMind as a local file hyperlink
- File hyperlink pointing to a location in local area network is regarded as a broken relative link.
- Some bugs causing startup crash on Windows.
- Pressing ‘Enter’ key to type literal words using some input methods finishes topic title editing on Mac OS X.
- Hyperlink in notes causes failure of exporting to Mindjet MindManager.
- Debian package contains ‘bad permission’ files.
- Automatically recover to original state in case of failure to save a .xmind file.
- Many other minor improvements and bugs fix.

In spite creating an account; downloading the program, and following a link to a map I need to put up urgently, it tells me “filed to obtain download link” – there are others also experiencing the same problem. What is the solution please?.

I love XMind and it is a great help in my everyday work.
But one thing is really really really missing: an Iphone- better an IPad-App. Is there any chance that this will be developed? You offer a version for mac, so I think it could be doable to develop one for mobile devices.

Is there or is there going to be a possibility to Export to a spreadsheet (.xls, csv ?) or .xmi ?
This version is useless, you can’t even save large project files, it just freeze and pops up the error:

Is there a way in the current version, or maybe in a future version, to have more flexibility on margin/padding space around each topic, and more ability to free-position – it doesn’t work at all for me, it just jumbles and re-connects in weird order when I try it while holding down command (os x 10.6.8).
I created a Xmind map.
I have tried many different ways to print the XMind map onto a Tabloid (11 x 17) size page. Every time, I end up with a Letter (8.5 x 11) size print in the far corner of my Tabloid page.
Have you hard coded the output to only print on Letter size paper?
Is there something in the setup somewhere that I have missed?
I would appreciate some guidance on this, as my purchase of the product is a show stopper if this cannot be resolved.

XMind is fantastic, but it would be great if it could be realeased on the Android Platform.
This would help to push it to a wider audience and enable it to be used on mobility devices such as Tabs and Smart Phones. Mindjet has an android version and that is the only reason I am still using it.

Actually, we’ve started our iOS program. For lack of develop resource, the Android version may take some time.

I really love this tool. Congratulations for the great job.
I have just one complaint concerning the last version. It seems that every time I edit and save a xmind file, its size grows too much despite little modifications, until it returns an error as explained on comment .
When I opened and saved the same file with a previous version of XMind, the file size shrunk in about 5 to 10 times.
I also wish there was a version for Android. Mindjet gets the job done, but when working with Dropbox, it wipes some graphical improvements present in XMind such as boundaries, summaries and sheets.

Thank you for your advice.
Every time when you save a mind map file, XMind will save a revision of it, which will improve its size. Deleting the revisions manually can shrink the file size.
1. Click “File-Editing History” to open the “Editing History View”
2. Select the revisions and click the “Delete” button at the top right corner of the view

You can free-place a (sub) topic by holding down “Alt” while dragging the item (check the Help under “Topic”, at the end of the page – “Free Position”). Once a node is freely place it will not be re-arranged automatically, unless you detach the node and re-attach it.
Found it by experimenting, only then checked the Help. Human nature, I guess…

It’s wonderful. Would you mind trying to pressing “Alt”/”Shift” while moving the topics?
If possible, I would love to tell that free-place a topic by holding down “Alt” is only valid to the main topic (not including subtopics) when the structure is default.
