Besides updating XMind open source and XMind Pro Subscription package, XMind 2012 also instrduces two new life-time plans, XMind Plus 2012 and XMind Pro 2012.
These two plans have different arrangment on features. XMind Pro 2012 has all features, and XMind Plus not.
Only $79, XMind Plus 2012 offers users many wide-used features, like Export to Word/PPT, Export to PDF, Image Gallery, Extract Theme, Map Shot, Map Merge, and etc. We believe these great features will be very helpful on your work, thinking, and communication. More important, while placing order, you can even choose to enjoy 2-year upgrade with just $29!
XMind Pro 2012 offers all features, like Brainstorming mode, Presentation, Gantt chart view, Powerful search, Encrypt with password, TaskInfo view and etc. It offers the best support to your business work, project management, personal plan. Of course, it has a reasonal price, $99 for life time!

Stephen – thanks for updating XMind! I am having an issue with the new “commit notes” shortcut that seems to have replaced the “exit pop-up notes” shortcut from before. Where is the best place to discuss such issues – facebook or email or the google groups page or somewhere else?
hi, are you going to share the source code of xmind 3.3.0?
thanks
Thanks for xmind! It’s great. From paid version I need only gannt view, but 100$ for gannt view, don’t know… it’s too much.
@nick yes, please wait a few days. then we will prepare it well for download.
@hltaisin oh, sorry. currently there may be no better workaround here.
@Michael We can discuss this at xmind new support center, http://xmind.desk.com/. You can email us there or submit a public question.
Thanks for the new version. On my early 2006 MacBookPro I get the error message that the app can’t start because of the 32bit system. Will you be able to provide us with a 32 bit version?
Thanks,
Michael
I’m confused about the new lifetime subscriptions. If they are lifetime, why do I have to pay extra money for 2 years of upgrades? Shouldn’t it be free upgrades for lifetime?
Any plans on the trial version availability? Or at least a cheap short-timed license?
I’d really like to try out the pro features to make sure I’ll use them in my daily work.
@Patrick The lifetime means that you can hold this version for ever. no extra charge for using it in future. And that 2-year is optional. With that, people can upgrade to big update like from XMind 2012 to XMind 2013, or 2014 maybe.
@Kirill maybe you can contact support@xmind.net for that trial.
Hi Stephan,
can you explain me the difference between the lifetime and the subscriber version?
Am I forced to subscribe every year the subscriber version to use the pro features?
I would like to test the pro version before I buying it.
And there is no monthly subscription any more?
Last question: the edu price is only for institutions or organisations, not for students at university?
Thanks a lot and best regards,
Andrea
Why should I go for the subscription pro version and not for the life-time pro version? What are the advantages of the subscription pro version compared to the life-time pro version?
Sorry for this would-be stupid question but I don’t see the advantages as of yet. Thanks in advance.
@frank subscription mode will let users enjoy any update before it expires. And some people may buy for company trial.
@Andrea Of course, you can enjoy that education discount as the students at university. And more, what you say about subscription is right.
Hi There
I am unable to download a mind map. Does this imply that I should buy a commercial version (e.g. Xmind pro at $ 99 once off?
Will I be able to access the maps on different computers, if using the same ID/ username?
@Chris clicking that download button on the map viewer, there will be a pop out page. maybe your browser stops that page. could you check about the settings?
Can I buy one licence and run the software on an IPad, IMac and Windows machine?
@Bill, XMind does not have the iPad version. But one license is enough for your iMac and Windows.
Hi Stephen,
Excellent product! I’m pushing the limits of the application with multiple worksheets, attachments, drill-downs and voice notes.
Now for a request: I started using XMind (having used MindManager before) as it gives me a lot of flexibility in moving topics on the worksheet and not necessarily attaching all together.
We humans do not necessarily have one idea running in our head; nor is one idea completely isolated from everything else in your Mind at that time.
My request is that we have a functionality within XMind which (a) allows me to start creating a map with NO Main Topic and lets me insert one or more topics ‘at the same hierachical level’, (b) allows me to manipulate the resulting maps using the existing rules built into the product.
Thanks,
Buddy
